New functions

Yes, this is an extremely boring post to test new functions, and they seem to work so far, so expect this to be deleted.

New year, New post!

Well, its the new year, and time for a new post! Yes, I have actually managed to remember to log back onto wordpress (after some tomfoolary with my password) and do something with it, possibly due to some new years resolution that I had thought of but more likely due to Nat reminding me that I actually have a blog on here.

I plan to do something more productive with this than just let dust gather, so I’m going to turn it into a poetry based blog area. It should be good for my creative thinking and should keep this corner of the internet in use.

I won’t say watch this space as knowing me I’ll just forget again, but things should start happening soon!

Keeping up-to-date, and cinema

Well, its been ages since I did my last post – not deliberately, I just tend to phase in and out of keeping an accurate log on WordPress and other blog apps .

 I am now on holiday for about two weeks (minus 2 days now). It was cheap day at the cinema so I saw Run, Fat Boy Run – not an outright laugh-out lound film and there were a couple of gross gags, but recommended as a heartwarming film if you want something to pad all the super spy/action thrillers or those awful smushy American Pie spinoffs that have been appearing in the cinema recently.

Can’t think of much else to say now, I plan to use this more and be more motivated – but I need to do a few house things before I touch this again!

More explorations in Uru

Things seem to be building slowly, but definitely better than the last prologue stage which is where things fell down last time.

 This time there seems to be a bit more spirit, and the game staff are taking interesting steps such as providing a brief introduction in the Beginners bevin (a neighbourhood you can visit) which in some ways is far more human than the troiling of WoW where you are thrown in and left to get on with it, and you never even see the game staff unless there is real trouble.

It will be interesting to see how the online game proceeds. Will it fail and fall like the D’ni, or will it be bolstered by the Greeters Guild and the explorers themselves.

Only time will tell.

All things Great and Uru…

Well, its been a while I posted, but I now have found a great way to use this, to record my thoughts about Uru Live. Its in “Ajar” status at the moment, and I’m under a NDA, so I can’t say too much, but the main thing is that its great so far.

Here’s to better times and times I can write more than just an extract about Uru, but for now, I’m signing off.. 🙂

Beginnings

They say everything has a beginning, so this is my beginning post on what I hope will be a more comprehensive blog activity on the site. I'll need to get my feet of course, but bare with me and good things will come. Hopefully interesting as well.
